Setting Up A NetSuite Integration - Walk Through

Start Data Connector

  • Click on the "Data" menu item
  • Click on the "Data Hub" menu item
  • Click on the "Connectors" menu item
  • Find the connector you just created in Prerequisite #2
  • Click on the arrow to start the data connector.

Create the Extraction (ETL)

  • Click on the "Data" menu item
  • Click on the "Data Hub" menu item
  • Click on the "ETL" menu item
  • Click on the "Add New" button
  • On the Extractions Management page you will see something like below, look at the options and then follow the steps.

    Note: You will need the information from Prerequisite #3 in order to fill out this form. There are typically 11 scripts that will get loaded in NetSuite, each of these scripts will need to have an ETL setup.
  • Keep "Extraction type" set at "Connector"
  • Change "Query Connector" as necessary based on the settings you created in Prerequisite #2 
  • Set the rest of the fields based on what you recorded in Prerequisite #3 and click the "Save" button for each of the scripts.

    Note: In each of the extractions the NetSuite REST URL will look similar to: https://<AcctID>.restlets.api.netsuite.com/app/site/hosting/restlet.nl?script=<ScriptID>&deploy=1

Create the Transformation

  • Click on the "Data" menu item
  • Click on the "Data Hub" menu item
  • Click on the "Transformations" menu item
  • Click on the "Add New" button
  • On the Transformations Management page you will see something like below, look at the options and then follow the steps.
  • You will notice that the extractions you just finished will be available as check boxes on this form.
  • Similar to the ETL process you will need to fill out the form with the following information, click the "Save" button for each Transformation.

Create the Data Management Profile

  • Click on the "Data" menu item
  • Click on the "Data Hub" menu item
  • Click on the "Data Management" menu item
  • Click on the "Add New" button
  • On the Data Management page you will see something like below, look at the options and then follow the steps.
  • Similar to the ETLs and Transformations fill out the form with values similar to the list below.
  • Initially you will want to uncheck the "Data Load" checkbox in order to test the data pull.
  • Leave the values on the right side (start types) alone and click on the "Save" button when ready.

Run the Data Management Profile

  • Click on the "Data" menu item
  • Click on the "Data Hub" menu item
  • Click on the "Data Management" menu item
  • Find the ETL Template Name that you want to run and then look across the screen to the "Run" column and click on the arrow to start the extraction.
